In the 20th century, mankind has won one brilliant victory after another in the historical process of transforming nature. In the medical field alone, some infectious diseases such as diphtheria, which have historically seriously endangered human existence, have been basically eliminated or controlled to varying degrees. The prospect of mankind being able to defeat all kinds of dangerous diseases seems to be bright, and a senior US government official once optimistically indicated that the United States is about to “eradicate the epidemic.” However, developments have completely out of the expectation of the U.S. official. New infectious diseases and old plagues have now become rampant again. It seems that the diseases caused by AIDS, Lyme disease, legionnaires’ disease and hantavirus are from
