Services Oriented Architecture(SOA)is all architectural style which allowsinteraction of diverse applications regardless of their platform，implementationlanguages and locations by utilizing generic and reliable services that Can usedapplication building block．SOA includes methodologies and strategies to follow inorder to develop sophisticated applications and information systems．
SOA is different from the traditional architectures as it has its own uniquearchitectural characteristics and regulations，which needs to be analyzed and clarifiedso as to apply the information that should be included in the architectural model ofSOA correctly to service based application development．
This thesis aims to describe SOA in detail with considering it’S approaches．Conceptsand methodologies that surrounds architectural model of SOA．Service based applicationdevelopment，service oriented integration approaches，technologies for SOA development,frameworks and other related requirements are discussed in this study in order to have acomplete and accurate figure of SOA and be competent in utilizing service orientationconcepts in enterprise application development．
