This paper analysis the determinants of the length of stay of Chinese taking vacations in Bali Indonesia,based on a questionnaire distributed in Timor Leste and Bali Island during the winter holiday.100 respondents answered the questionnaires.
All the data and information collected from this survey is presented in frequency and descriptive statistic which are mostly 57.0％Female and Male are 43.0%.Based on the survey,the age of traveling to Bali mostly 47.0% of 30-39 years.The majority of respondents that traveled to Bali is employee 40.0% and followed by businessman 35.0%.The reason of travelling to Bali mostly chose holiday or leisure 68.0%,followed by culture or shopping 20.0%.The duration of the stay of respondents in Bali the longer stay takes 6-9 days 48.0%and followed by 35.0%is less than 5 days.
Based on the analyzed model of factor influencing of length of stay shows that most the travelers will stay longer on destination attribute （sun and sand,nature (urban),culture and climate),and the type of accommodation (4 or 5 star hotel,3 star hotel,1 or 2 star hotel,guest house and campsite),the hypothesis of destination attribute and the type of accommodation are positive significant,and the hypothesis of time available and return are not important because the implication statistically is not clear.
To attract more tourists and get higher income the government should pay attention on the development of tourism sector,be aware of the destination management,and pay attention on the consumer needs,wants and perceptions.The competitiveness in tourism is also one of the important factors that the government should take into account.
