A series of thieno[3,4-b]thiophene-fluorene based derivative and another one of carbazole and silafluorene derivatives have been successfully synthetized.Optical and electrochemical analysis have revealed that those material possess a similar absorption in solution and on film than TV1.In addition,they appear to be such as TV1a narrow band gap with suitable HOMO-LUMO energy levels which make them interesting for application in organic solar cells as acceptor.However,their electronic performances have revealed to be lower than these achieved for TV1.Also,it could be interesting to realize further investigations about theirs morphology in order to understand the difference recorded.
