Lithium difluoro(oxalate)borate (LiDFOB),dissolved in a mixture of ethylene carbonate (EC),ethylmentyl carbonate (EMC) and ethyl propionate (EP),was investigated as a novel electrolyte salt for lithium battery to work at -20 oC and 60 oC in this study.Compared with LiPF6,the electrochemical behavior and aluminum collector corrosion-protection ability of LiDFOB were characterized by linear sweep voltammetry (LSV).The electrochemical performance of LiDFOB-based cell was further investigated by using means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS),cyclic voltammetry (CV),charge-discharge test.The stability of electrode materials in electrolyte was observed by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP).The results show that at -20 oC and 60 oC,the stability of LiDFOB is superior to that of LiPF6.Also,the electrochemical performance of lithium battery,when temperature ranges from -20 oC to 60 oC,will be improved by using LiDFOB instead of LiPF6 as the electrolyte salt.
