综述了轴向运动弹性体振动特性研究的发展过程、研究现状以及对未来的展望。在现代工程系统中，存在很多沿着轴向运动的细长弹性连续系统，如发动机中高速运转的皮带、轧钢过程中轴向运动的带钢、纺织工业中的纱线、造纸工业中的纸张，以及加工过程中的带锯，等等。
