The cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) remains selective advantages to promote efficient hybrid seed production.Harnessing hybrid heterosis is a promising approach to tackle the challenge of sustaining enhanced yield gains of field crops.Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var.italica) is a worldwide vegetable.Application of male sterility caneffectively increase yield and quality of broccoli.Nowadays, extensive researcheshave been performedon male sterility in plants.However, the molecular mechanism of male sterility still remains indistinctly.
