Effects of TSG on the expression of IGF-1 in diabetic cardiomyocytes

　　Aim:To check the expression of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in myocardium of diabetic rats after treatment with 2,3,4,5-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-beta-D-glucoside (TSG) and the preliminary therapeutic mechanism of TSG on diabetic cardiomyopathy.Methods:80 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were numbered according to the body weight of empty stomach,10 of them were chosen randomly as normal control (NC) group,70 animals were fed with a high fat and sugar diet combined with single intraperitoneal injection of STZ (30 mg/kg),Animals with over 11.1mmol/L FBG were deemed as successful diabetic model and were randomized into four groups:diabetes group (DM); TSG low (TSG-L 30 mg/kg),middle (TSG-M 60 mg/kg) and high (TSG-H 120 mg/kg)-dose treatment groups,TSG was administered by oral gavage.
