Novel soft x-ray monochromator for ICF application

The authors provided a new developed soft x-ray monochromator for inertial confinement fusion application.The monochromator is composed of a cylinder mirror,a sophisticated designed varied-line-space single-order diffraction grating and a slit.When combined with a synchrotron radiation facility and/or a laser plasma x-ray source the monochromator may provide wavelength selected monochromatic x-ray beam for x-ray devices calibration.Compare to conventional used devices the new developed monochromator shows good simplicity,small dimension,and more important it is free of higher- order-harmonic contaminates.
