N, N, N"-triethylenephosphoramide (TEPA) was used to be as flame retardant for textile for a long time because of its harmless to fibers.But new researches show that TEPA can cause the deterioration of the immune system and lead to the problem of reproductive system, hypothyroidism, memory loss and joint stiffness, and also has carcinogenic effects.TEPA becomes the first one of the forbidden used flame retardants for textiles.Therefore, it is very imperative to establish a fast, sensitive, accurate analytical method, and establish the corresponding standards for determination of TEPA residue in textiles.
