Rare-earth-doped soft glass all-solid photonic crystal fiber

　　A single-mode phosphate all-solid large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is reported.Single-mode operation is realized through PCF with core diameter up to 40 μm.The beam quality is not degraded even at the maximum output power of ~ 5 W.Besides, stack-and-draw technique was used to fabricate rare-earth-doped double-clad step-index fibers with non-circular inner cladding.Maximum output power of 7.7 W was obtained.
