A Geopark is a system to gather information about geo-scientific heritages in the region,to conserve them,and to facilitate their sustainable development through geotourism and education.The activity began among European geologists in the 1990's,and joined to Chinese ones then becamea worldwide movement.Global network of National Geoparks(known as a Global Geoparks Network,GGN)was established in 1998,assisted by UNESCO and nowdiscussing to approvethis activity as a UNESCO's formal program.In 2015,China has 31 Geoparks,Japan 7,and Korea 1.
