　　In this paper, effect of high impact damage on elevated temperature reinforced carbon-carbon (RCC) composites has been investigated experimentally.Specifically thermal tests have been performed on RCC specimens impacted at high velocity to establish performances of different impact factors.The purpose of this paper is to describe these tests and present experimental results for RCC.Two tensile tests were also performed to investigate the residual strength of RCC with impact damage.
