　　Purpose:Cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1),which generally participates in normal physiological function,was found to be over expressed in ovarian cancer and related with tumor growth.The aim of this study was to evaluate the expression level of COX-1 in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and its role in predicting prognoses of RCC patients.
