宁绍战役开始之际,绍兴城在毫无准备的情况下突然沦陷,引起最高层的震怒。蒋介石决定彻查此事,绍兴沦陷之真相最终水落石出。军事委员会对第三战区司令长官顾祝同、浙江省政府主席黄绍竑、绍兴军政负责人等均施以重罚,蒋介石严令第三战区彻底整顿。但是,国军长期驻守一地产生的军风纪问题、走私问题,在抗战中后期日益严重、积重难返。绍兴沦陷所反映的前线军政疲沓之情势,在抗战中后期的正面战场上具有一定的代表性。
At the start of the Ninchaos campaign, Shaoxing City suddenly fell into disrepair and caused the highest fury. After Chiang Kai-shek decided to thoroughly investigate the incident, the truth about the fall of Shaoxing finally came to light. The Military Commission imposed heavy penalties on Commander-in-Chief Gu Zhuantong of the Third Theater, Huang Shanyu of Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Government and heads of Shaoxing’s military administration, and Chiang Kai-shek strictly ordered the complete drastic rectification of the Third Theater. However, the question of military discipline and the smuggling problem caused by the long-term presence of the national army in the territory have become increasingly serious and hard-won in the latter part of the anti-Japanese war. The situation of the weak military and political front reflected in the fall of Shaoxing has some representativeness in the front battlefield in the middle and late anti-Japanese war.
