Although silage making is not commonly practiced in the tropics,increasing attempts have been made to develop a suitable ensiling process in the region.The crop in the tropics will show a high DM yield in a warm season,whereas the high moisture content and low soluble carbohydrate level are not desirable to make well-preserved silage without any treatments.
