Epoxides and aziridines are highly versatile structural motives and the development of novel stereoselective synthesis strategies is of high importance.We have recently introduced a straightforward highly trans-selective protocol for the syntheses of glycidicamides[1,2] and analogous aziridines by using easily accessible ammonium ylides[3] under mild biphasic conditions.In this presentation, a detailed overview about the development of this diastereoselective protocol and our efforts towards an enantioselective strategy to access these compounds will be given.
