　　The eco-friendly and renewable polymers (poly(dopamine) and hydroxyethyl cellulose) were used as modifiers to enhance dispersibility of short carbon fibers (SCFs) in water-based solution.The dispersion state of short carbon fibers was characterized with by contact angle, viscosity, XPS and digital photos.And the dispersion coefficient β was employed to evaluate the dispersion degree of short carbon fibers effectively and quantitatively.
