Splenic flexure Lesions:subtotal colectomy or left hemicolectomy-is there a difference?

　　Objective Resection of splenic flexure (SF) lesions can be performed by left hemicolectomy (LHC) or subtotal colectomy (STC).This study compared outcomes of patients who underwent these different types of resections of SF lesions.Methods Records of patients who underwent colorectal resection for SF lesions from 10/2000 t0 8/2012 were reviewed.Demographics and perioperative,pathological and clinical outcomes were compared for patients who underwent LHC vs STC.
