The available scientific evidence is convincing that risk for developing cancer is reduced or suggests that risk for developing cancer probably is reduced by an increasing consumption of diets high in vegetables and fruits.Sinigrin is a major glucosinolate in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.) seeds as the precursor of the myrosinase-mediated breakdown product allyl isothiocyanate [1],which possesses many biological activities,including bactericidal,antibacterial and anticancer [2].Thus,sinigrin could be added to functional food as phytochemical components of healthy diets to achieve its conversion to biologically active compounds in the alimentary tract automatically.
