Toinvestigatetheimpactofanovelmotion-correction(MC)algorithmontheimagequalityofrightcoronaryartery(RCA)inpatientswhounderwentcoronaryCTangiography(CCTA),withevaluationofitspotentialinfluencefactors. MethodsWeprospectivelyenrolled300patientswhounderwentCCTAwithoutrate-controlmedicationinourhospitalfrom September2015toDecember2015.Thebasicinformation,heartrate(HR),thevolumeandspeedofcontrastagentaswellasthe radiationdosewererecorded.Theexclusioncriteriaincludediodineallergic,bypasssurgery.Wesetaprotocoltoacquire coronaryarteryimagesautomaticallyaccordingtothepatientheartrateandbodyfigure.IfthepatientsHRlessthan75bpm,the 75%R-Rintervalimageswerereconstructedasthefirstsetimages.WhentheimagequalityofRCAscored1,therelevant imagesof75%R-RintervalwithMCwasreconstructed.While,fortheimagesscoredmorethan2,thenthemultiphaseimages with5%R-Rintervalwillbereconstructed.AdditionalimagesofthechosenbestphasewithMCwillbereconstructed. Correspondingly,ifthepatientsHRmorethan75bpm,the45%R-Rintervalimageswerereconstructedasthefirstsetimages. Thefollowingproceduresareasabove.TworadiologistswithrichexperienceonCCTAinterpretingdefinedtheimagequalityas score1to4asexcellenttopoor.Thegoodinterpretabilitydefinedasimagequalityscore1~2,whichofRCAwithorwithoutMC wasmadeaccordingtotheconsensusofthetworeaders.TherelationshipbetweenimagequalityimprovementbyMCandits potentialinfluencefactorsareanalyzedwithspearmencorrelationandlogisticregression.P≤0.05wasregardasstatistically significant. ResultsSixpatientswithnearlyortotalocclusionorsignificantdiffusecalcificationofRCA,1patientwithoutRCAofnormal originanddiameterwereexcludedfromthestudyduetotheinaccuratediametermeasurement.Finally,292patients(meanage, 60.29±12.05;male:48%)wereincludedinourstudy.ImprovementofimagequalitybyMCwasobservedin138patients.The overallimagequalityimprovedfrom2.34±0.53to1.61±0.67(p<0.001).ImagesreconstructedwithMCshowedhighergood interpretabilityofRCA[withvswithoutMC:95.21%(278/292)vs77.74%(272/292),p<0.05].Amongtheinfluencefactors,theHR, RCAdiameterandtheCTvalueoftheascendingaortahavecorrelationwithMCeffectonimagequalityimprovement(ps<0.05). ConclusionTheMRcouldimprovetheimagequalityandgoodinterpretabilityofRCA,especiallyinpatientswithlowerheart rate,largerdiameterofRCAandhigherCTvalueofaorta.
