The starch copolymers with high water absorption were prepared by using redox which employed radical initiator,continuous graft and saponification without crossing linking.The effects of processing conditions on water absorption of the copymers were also investigated.The results showed that the prepared copolymers had good performances including salt and blood tolerance,and high water absorption.Chloridized starch was investigated by SEM to be oxidated at different sites,which favored graft reaction.
