某水电厂3号机组增容改造完成后，机组稳定运行时的下导摆度及上导、下导瓦温均发生了较大变化(升高)。为了判断导致以上指标发生变化的原因，对机组进行空转、变转速、变励磁和变负荷试验，通过分析试验结果，诊断机组存在的缺陷，并对机组实施了配重。配重结果表明，机组振动、摆度及导轴承瓦温明显减小，使机组运行状态得以改善，达到了业主预期的目的。
传统实验室DGA分析过程一般是：现场采样，然后将油样密封保存并运输到检测中心，在检测中心进行脱气和色谱分析。这样检测周期长不适应现场变化。而在线测量方式一般将检测设备安装到现场变压器附近现场不断地对变压器油进行分析，将分析结果自动上传到后台系统，使得变压器运行维护人员可以在任何时候获取有关变压器油故障气体组分的PPM数据。新电力试验规程中提出的状态检修，为在线色谱分析的发展提供了宽广的空间。离线、
