Hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) plays an important role in the separation of polar compounds.The development of stationary phases with high hydrophilicity and separation efficiency is of great significance for HILIC.Herein, we designed an novel glutathione-based zwitterionic HILIC stationary phase via thiol-ene click chemistry, which is different from Cu(Ⅰ)-catalyzed alkyne-azide click reaction as it can avoid the remaining of metal ions in the stationary phases (designated Click TE-GSH, "GSH" means glutathione, "Click TE" represents thiol-ene click chemistry, Fig.l).The orthogonal reaction between thiol group and vinyl was helpful for the conservation of the structure and charge properties of glutathione.Click TE-GSH column displayed excellent hydrophilicity and high separation efficiency.As shown in Fig.1, the separation of fructosan was successfully achieved.In addition, Click TE-GSH stationary phase exhibited great potential in the separation of peptides and proteins.
