JIPs(JNK-interacting proteins),a highly conserved type of scaffold proteins existing in eukaryotes,play their roles in multiple cellular process.And there are accumulating evidences proving that JIP1s show their necessities in the axonal development.In our primary research,we observed that the centrosome(whose localization is thought to determine neuronal polarity)and JIP1s locate at the same filopodia before cell shows its asymetrical structure of axon formation.And we will further determine the temporal and spatial relationship between these two molecules and the axonal development through live cell imaging technique,for the construction of the whole pathway of neuronal polarization in the future.
