Background: Previous studies have shown that both ROCKII and GSK-3β signaling are involved in axonal regeneration.In this study, we investigated the effect of combined application of Y27632 (a ROCKII inhibitor) and TDZD-8 (a GSK-3β inhibitor) on neurite outgrowth and function recovery in rats with spinal cord injury (SCI).Methods: A total of 90 female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly allocated into 6 groups, and SCI rats were received daily administration by catheter with 1.6 mg/kg Y27632 for 2 weeks and/or 1 mg/kg TDZD-8 for 3 weeks.Cellular apoptosis in injured spinal cord at every time point was measured by TUNEL assay.
