The use as a controlled release system of polymer micelle,obtained from the self-assembly of monomethoxy poly(ethylene glycol)(mPEG)–conjugated bovine serum albumin(BSA)in aqueous solution,has been investigated.The conjugation of mPEG-BSA was characterized by FT-IR,XPS and 1H NMR.To test the efficacy of these micelles in drug delivery system,an antifungal drug amphotericin B(AmB),selected as a model drug,was loaded into the micelle by hydrophobic interaction.DLS measurements showed the mean diameter of micelles increased from 7.8nm to 8.3nm after AmB-loading,which further supporting the encapsulation of AmB.
