Objective Acinetobacter baumannii is known for its intrinsic resistance to a range of antimicrobial agents. This study was to investigate the antimicrobial resistance of A.baumannii isolated in 9 years in a teaching hospital. Methods Disk diffusion test was used to study the antimicrobial resistance. The data were analyzed by WHONET 5 software according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI).Results Most of 2485 strains of A.baumannii were collected from sputum 1625 (65.4%),secretions and pus 450 (18.1%) during the past 9 years. The antimicrobial resistance of A.baumannii had increased in recent 9 years. Conclusion The change of the antimicrobial resistance should be investigated in order to direct rational drug usage in the hospital and prevent bacterial strain of drug resistance from being transmitted.
