Coelenterazine(CTZ)is a widespread light-emitting subst rate found in marine bioluminescent organisms.In order to expand the biological application for real-time non-invasive visualization of intracellular calcium concentration dynamics in cel ls and whole organisms,numerous coelenterazine analogues with modification of the substitution at the C2,C5,C6 and C8 positions of the imidazopyrazinone core are summarized as luminescent substrates.
