In this research,the dewatering of sewage sludge by dimethyl ether was studied under different dewatering time and liquefied dimethyl ether/sludge ratio.The water concentration of the sludge could be effectively decreased from 80％ to 60％ when the dewatering time was 80 min and the liquid/solid ratio was 90 ml/g.
