The myosin heavy chain (MyHC) gene has four isoforms,MyHC-I,MyHC-IIa,MyHC-IIb and MyHC-IIx in bovine skeletal muscle and they were translated into different structural protein myofibrils,and then further form different types of muscle fiber.In these studies,our objective was to reveal the expression pattern of MyHC genes in longissimus,semitendinosus and soleus of Simmental hybrid cattle,and their association with intramuscular fat (IMF) content and meat shearing force (MSF).
