Background Elucidation of the bile acids (BAs) and free fatty acids(FFAs) metabolic profiles during cholestatic progression helps understand the pathogenesis of cholestatic liver injury and evaluated the effect of Yin-Chen-Hao-Tang (YCHT) on chlorpromazine(CPZ) induced cholestatic liver injury in rats, using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
