Different spraying classes are suggested in labels to application of pesticides.Manufacturers of nozzles and sprayers sell products in different countries for application of the same or very similar tank mixes.Very active in last years popularization of air induction nozzles-as only one right way to whole risk reduction for environment, in several new publications is not confirmed.Tendentious terminology: "drift management", should be replaced with "losses management", because tendentious "drift reduction" increase spray (ground) losses and result with decreased efficiency of crop protection (e.g.Triloff 2011).These nozzle users, on base of such opinions believe that they can use air induction nozzles any time and for any kind of application (with opinion that "also in bad conditions it works successful").With coarse spraying (air induction nozzles), the reduction of dose rate (of pesticide and tank mix per ha) is not possible.Misinterpretation of the term "nozzle classification" should be replaced with the term: spraying characterization, and adapted/dedicated to individual conditions. This idea comes from Syngenta and Hypro, to create adapted scenarios for applications (e.g.potato/Amistar nozzles), should be continued with cooperation of nozzles and sprayers manufacturers, chemical industry, and governmental institutions, responsible for food safety, risk control for environment (water), and safety of pesticides application (and operator, bystander safety).Such initiatives should be institutional and financial supported from different organizations and actions.Only few published brochures, include only very small chapters about some vague technical concept. This information not covers the demand needed by sprayer operators and advisors, some information are not reliable, and other is biased. This situation confirms important need to establish universal atomization characterization method, and its introduction in printed information materials with detailed technical help for different scenarios (optimal and extreme). Some standardized form of detailed spray characterization (volume of important drop-size fractions) should be delivered with the nozzles as mandatory confirmed, credible, and completed technical information. The specific fractions-different according to scenarios, should be delivered in information material too, for right understanding of nozzles usefulness. An example of such information the picture below was included(Figure 1).The advisor or sprayer user can see the advanced information about drop-size spectrum, and select nozzle type and working pressure according to individual need.
