In the context of an increasingly urbanized world,the plannification of metropolitan areas must include the development of the regions green infrastructure(GI),an integrative spatial planning approach aiming to insure the conservation of natural spaces and their continuity,to promote the multifunctional use of landscape and to contribute for the development of a greener and more sustainable economy.
