　　Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been considered as the most promising material as they find applications in a variety of technological fields.So far, the plethora of theoretical and experimental investigations have been conducted concerning isolated single-or multi-walled CNTs.As an exception, nanotube arrays and forests have also been considered in a few works.
