Enzymatic catalysis provides enormous opportunities in bioanalytical applications. We focus on utilizing nanomaterials to improve the performance of enzymes for nanobiocatalysis.Examples of designing nanostructured enzyme catalysts and their potential applications in biosensoring will be introduced in this talk, including: 1)A general method for preparing hybrid enzyme-inorganic nanoflowers in which the enzyme has markedly enhanced activity and stability, making such enzyme nanoflowers suitable for highly sensitive detection of glucose; 2)A general method for the synthesis of protein-containing metal-organic frameworks which can be used in the facile and sensitive detection of explosive organic peroxides.
