  2,3-unsaturated glycoside are versatile chiral intermediates in the synthesis of a variety of important compounds from nucleosides and antibiotics to several biologically active natural products. Among these, 2-haloglycals have become a new entry to the 2C-functionalized glycals and are widely used as important synthons in carbohydrate chemistry. In this article, we fabricate a green magnetic Fe3O4@C@Fe(Ш) core-shell nanoparticles based on the waste lotus leaf as an efficient and recyclable catalyst for Ferrier rearrangement of glycals and 2-haloglycals.A series of 2-H-2,3-unsaturated glycosides and 2-halo-2,3-unsaturated glycosides were obtained with mild condition and high yields(up to 98%) in short time(10-60min),along with its applicability to various substrates .What’s more, the catalysis can be magnetic separated and show excellent recycling performance in the 5th test.
