INTRODUCTION Cosmetic products play an importantrole in peoples daily life and lead to a tremendous profit as a global industry.As the prime principle,cosmetic productsshould not cause damage to human health under the normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use.Despite thelegal ban in cosmetics, illicit substances can still be found in the cosmetic products on market due to their highereffectivenessin short term, though posing a serious risk to publichealth.Therefore, there is a need for the development of effective methodologies to identify the prohibited substances in cosmetics.
