公共图书馆读者成份复杂、需求多层次的特点,决定其功能定位在高与低、广与精的拿捏上颇具挑战性。本文用吴晞先生为《竹帛斋图书馆学论剑》所写序言“又有花香又有树高”为题,旨在说明公共图书馆既要立足和谐,以人文关怀作为其根本宗旨,填补高校图书馆和科研机构图书馆的空位,满足普通大众(尤其是弱势群体)的学习、文化生活的需求,又要有引领的高度,以强化其作为文化传承、参考咨询的核心功能。
The complexity of the readership of public libraries and the multi-level needs of the public libraries make it challenging to determine the function orientation between high and low, wide and fine.
