　　A novel method was established to determine pyrogallol by using potassium ferricyanide and Fe(Ⅲ)as a chromogenic reagent.It has been demonstrated that Fe(Ⅲ)is reduced to Fe(Ⅱ)by pyrogallol,and the formed Fe(Ⅱ)reacts with potassium ferricyanide to form soluble prussian blue(KFeⅢ[FeⅡ(CN)6]).
