PURPOSE:To establish the normal CBF template of the brain in health Asia adult,and compare the CBF differences in the right and left brain.Then provided detailed reference for the analyzation of the whole brain rest-state CBF and disease diagnosis.METHODS:87 healthy adults(46 males,age ranging from 23 to 60 with median of 33)participated in this study.The MRI exam consisted of Multi-TI ASL,T1 MPRAGE,T2-FLAIR and DWI.All data was collected on a MAGNETOM Skyra 3T MR scanner(Siemens Healthcare,Erlangen,Germany).mTI-ASL images were acquired with a prototype sequence with the following parameters: TR/TE = 4600/22ms,FOV = 220 × 220mm2,slice thickness = 4mm,voxel size = 3.4 x 3.4 × 4.0mm3,36 slices,bolus length = 700ms,16 TIs from 480 to 4080ms,and total acquisition time = 5:09 min including an M0 scan.The CBF/BAT/error maps were calculated inline on the scanner.MPRAGE was acquired in sagittal orientation with 1 mm isotropic resolution(FOV = 230 × 230 mm,192 slices,TR/TE = 1900ms/2.58ms,TI = 900ms,flip angle = 9°)in 4:59 min.Voxels CBF/BAT values,which errors were larger than threshold during curve fitting,was set to 0.The corrected CBF/BAT maps were first co-registered to the subjects individual MPRAGE images and then normalized to the Montreal Neurological Institute(MNI)MNI152 T1 template.The normalized CBF/BAT maps in MNI coordinate system were averaged among all healthy subjects to create the normal CBF/BAT template.First of all,preprocessing to the CBF map,and then overlay the AAL template on the normalized CBF map,then we get the CBF value of each of the brain area,statistical analysis through the GraphPad Prism 5 to find the normal value of each of the brain area and which areas of the AAL template are different significantly in the left and right brain.In addition to this,we overturn the normalized CBF map from the left to the right and get the overturn map,then through the DI “DI =(origGM-mirrGM)/0.5(origGM+mirrGM)” formula we get the variation map to show the difference of the right and left brain directly.At the same time,we calculate the CBF/BAT map to get the slope map to show the perfusion increase speed in each of the brain.RESULTS:The mean CBF value of each of the brain areas were shown in Fig.1.The difference in CBF of the left and right brain was selected and shown in Fig.2.The variation map was shown in Fig.3.The perfusion slope map was shown in Fig.4.CONCLUSION:The fitting CBF acquired by Multi-TI ASL is different in different brain areas.This show the different brain area has different brain function.The variation of the CBF in the left and right brain area also show the different function of the left and right brain which is also important in the lesion detection.
