In Chinese society, supervisor-subordinate guanxi refers to personal relationship between a supervisor and a subordinate that is developed largely from non-work related social interactions both inside and outside working hours.It is an intricate and pervasive relational network in Chinese organizations, and its importance is deeply-embedded in the mindset of Chinese people.Since China opened its doors to the outside world, the nature and function of supervisor-subordinate guanxi for business activities has been receiving increasingly attention from both western and Chinese researchers and practitioner.In this research, we investigated how fit and misfit between subordinates guanxi with their supervisor (individual guanxi) and their supervisors guanxi with his or her subordinates (group guanxi climate) impact subordinates perceptions of procedural justice.
