The rapidly rising CO2 concentration in the atmosphere,caused by burning of fossil fuels,is threatening our environment.Utilizing clean renewable energy to electrochemically convert emitted CO2 back to fuels and valuable chemicals is a promising approach toward zero emission.However,CO2 electroreduction is a kinetically slow and diverging reaction that requires a significant magnitude of overpotential and generates a myriad of products.
