Session mobility in the next generation network supports the smooth switching of the terminal equipments in use without interrupting the current session,which combines the mobility of mobile equipment and the computing capability of fixed equipments to some extent.The traditional telecom call forwarding service only supports pre-call mobility while SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) can provide the mid-call session mobility.However,the SIP-based session mobility bases on the static service providing model that doesnt take environmental factors relating to session mobility into consideration,unable to meet the users individualized demand.This paper addresses the key technologies of Session mobility in the next generation network and proposes a framework of SIP session mobility supported with context-aware,which can enhance the availability of session mobility and provide new user experience.The primary implement of prototype system indicates that the mid-call seamless session mobility can be supported with SIP REFER message.
