The success of first Green Revolution made the food production increased dramatically.The ratio of food production increasing in resent year in the world cannot meet the requirement.A new Green Revolution is urgently demented.Genomics is promoting the breakthrough in breeding theory,breeding materials and breeding method.Therefore,it must promote a new Green Revolution.Plant genomics has accelerated the breeding theory which including the diversity,hapmap and recombination theory; domestication and selection theory; genomic composition of founder parents and leading varieties; heterosis theory; QTL;epigenetics and no Mendelian genetics; interaction between genes and environments.These theories are directing parents and offspring selection,advancing the breeding method and make the breeding from experience-based to science.
