Physics is a basic discipline whose development has changed the face of the whole world.College physics is an important foundation course for management, engineering, agricultural and medical majors in institutions of higher education.Considering the exiting problems like inadequate class hours, varying quality of students andindiscriminate teaching materials in college physics course, a dimensional stratified teaching method that consists of stratified teaching materials, stratified course selection and stratified evaluation is proposed.After he implementation of stratified teaching, the excellence rate reached 15% while the failure rate was only 8%,and the average difference was shortened by about 8 points.The outlook of stratified teaching reform is also discussed in this paper.
