Conjugated polymer semiconductors have picked up the pace in the constant search for new and better electronic materials due to their unique optical and electrical properties and their easy manufactory and attractive flexibility. The achievement of high performance polymeric optoelectronic devices is dependent not only on the intrinsic properties of conjugated polymer materials but also on their solid state structures.Highly ordered organic semiconductors in solid state with optimal molecular packing are critical to their electrical performance. However, polymers are normally disordered materials with partial crystallinity, and disorder introduces localized electronic states at the band edges and reduce mobility. Thus, the organization of solid state structures for conjugated polymers to fabricate high performance polymeric devices has been a hot research topic in this fields.Aiming at this point, here,we have carried out systematical investigations on the control of polymer solid state structures including in polymer thin films and polymer crystals.Highly ordered conjugated polymer thin films and high quality polymer micro/nano-crystals have been obtained in our experiment, affording to the obvious enhancement of polymeric electronic devices and the highest carrier mobility of polymeric transistors is over 20 cm2 V-1s-1.
