　　The complete mitochondrial genome of the Cypridopsis vidua(O.F.Müller),the first representative species of family Cyprididae(Ostracoda: Podocopa),was determined to be 16,783 bp in length,including 37 typical mitochondrial genes and a non-coding region.All PCGs were initiated by typical ATN codons.
