Objective Gastric cancer(GC),as the fourth most common cancer, also leads to cancer associated death at the top two position worldwide.Depression is one of the common and easily overlooked complications and indicates advanced cancer clinical stage, serving as an independent predictor of poor prognosis for GC patients. However, the precise mechanism and biological pathways underlying depression-associated adverse clinical outcomes remains poorly understood.Discerning the mechanisms is crucial to recommend specific treatment strategies for GC patients with depression.
