The ordinary Patinopecten yessoensis (control groups) and "Ivory" strains of Patinopecten yessoensis F2 cultured by Dalian Ocean University, Key Laboratory of Mariculture, Ministry of Agriculture (9-month-old, 60 samples respectively) were analyzed using 22 polymorphic microsatellites markers. The value of He were 0.3326-0.7927 and 0.3608-0.7534, Na 1-6 and 2-6, Ne 1.4922-4.6753 and 1-3.9539, and the PIC means were 0.5792 and 0.5596 respectively, which showed the genetic diversity of the two groups were high and there was no significant difference in genetic structure between the two groups. The band A at locus 8 appeared in most individuals of control groups, but disappeared in "Ivory" scallops; which suggested that band A was possibly the negative genetic marker in white scallops. The SPSS 16.0 was used to analyze the effect of these 23 microsatellites on growth traits. Results indicated that locus HLJX 109, HLJX 178 and HLJX 139 had a significant impact (P<0.05 or P<0.01) on body weight; locus 8, HLJX 191 and HLJX 139 had a significant impact (P<0.05 or P<0.01) on shell length and shell height. This search is working on the relationship between Patinopecten yessoensiss microsatellites markers and Patinopecten yessoensis with different shell colors and growth traits in order to provide data for further study on QTL locations and theoretical guidance for Patinopecten yessoensiss cultivation and breeding.
